We are seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Pastoral & Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in [Location]. The Role

As a Graduate Pastoral & Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support with behaviour, emotional regulation, attendance and engagement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building positive and trusting relationships with students
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoringto students who need additional support
  • Supporting students to manage their behaviour and make positive choices
  • Helping students develop confidence, resilience and independence
  • Working alongside teachers and the wider pastoral team to identify and address barriers to learning
  • Supporting students who may have additional needs or challenging circumstances
  • Helping to maintain a positive, calm and inclusive school environment
  • Acting as a consistent and positive role model for young people

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be:

  • A graduatewith a minimum 2:1 degree
  • Passionate about working with and supporting young people
  • Confident, approachable and an excellent communicator
  • Resilient and patient, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
  • Able to build strong relationships with students from a range of backgrounds
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and willing to get involved in school life
  • Interested in developing a long-term career within education or pastoral support

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential- what matters most is your attitude, communication skills and genuine commitment to helping students succeed.
