The Role

  • You will join a successful Maths department and begin developing your classroom practice from day one.
  • With structured support and mentoring, you will gradually build the skills required to become an effective and confident teacher.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting and delivering Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential KS5 involvement
  • Adapting teaching to support both high-achieving students and those requiring additional help
  • Planning lessons, assessing student progress, and developing behaviour management strategies
  • Observing experienced teachers and applying best practice in your own teaching
  • Participating in weekly training focused on pedagogy, curriculum, and classroom practice
  • Gradually taking on increased teaching responsibility throughout the year
