KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a Care Home Chef for our client based in Bognor Regis.
The hours and days as a Care Home Chef are:
- 5 out of 7 days per week
- Varied start and finish times (average 8 hours per day)

Key Responsibilities as a Care Home Chef:
Food Preparation & Service:
- Plan, prepare, cook, and present balanced, nutritious meals for residents
- Produce breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in accordance with service schedules
- Cater for special dietary requirements, including diabetic, vegetarian, vegan, allergy-sensitive, texture-modified, and therapeutic diets
- Ensure meals are appealing, varied, and tailored to residents' preferences where possible
- Monitor food quality and presentation standards at all times
Compliance & Food Safety:
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety legislation, HACCP procedures, and Environmental Health requirements
- Carry out and record daily temperature checks for food storage and cooking
- Maintain accurate kitchen records and documentation
- Ensure safe storage of food products and chemicals
- Follow all company policies relating to health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding
Essential Requirements needed as a Care Home Chef:
- Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or Catering Professional
- Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and food safety standards
- Experience preparing meals for large groups
- Understanding of nutritional requirements for older people
- Ability to cater for specialist dietary needs and allergies
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Enhanced DBS
