KPI Recruiting are currently seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy waste management team based in Addlestone.
This role involves driving refuse collection vehicles and mechanical sweepers while working as part of a dedicated waste collection crew. You will be responsible for supporting essential local services, including household waste, recycling, food waste, garden waste, trade waste collections, bin deliveries, and street cleansing operations.
Your duties will include:
- Driving HGV Class 2 refuse vehicles or mechanical sweepers as required.
- Working as part of a crew to complete domestic, recycling, food waste, garden waste, and trade waste collections.
- Assisting loaders with daily operations and ensuring collections are completed efficiently.
- Promoting excellent customer service when interacting with residents.
- Completing all required paperwork and returning documentation to the waste operations office.
- Following collection routes and in-cab systems to ensure all scheduled collections are completed.
- Recording missed collections, inaccessible bins, and contaminated waste accurately.
- Returning bins and containers safely to collection points without obstructing residents or pedestrians.
- Assisting with vehicle cleaning, including washing the vehicle weekly and maintaining a clean cab daily.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
- Completing additional bank holiday and seasonal collections when required (additional payment provided).
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Previous HGV driving experience preferred (waste experience beneficial but not essential).
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong focus on providing excellent service to the local community.
