The role: We are currently recruiting for an organised and reliable Ad-Hoc Transport Administrator to provide temporary holiday cover support at our Meir site. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced transport environment. You will support the smooth running of daily transport operations by coordinating information, maintaining accurate records, and acting as a key point of contact for drivers and internal teams.
Main Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the transport department during holiday cover periods
- Assist with the planning and coordination of daily transport schedules
- Update and maintain accurate transport records, paperwork, and documentation
- Monitor driver schedules and support with resource allocation
- Communicate with drivers regarding routes, deliveries, collections, and any changes
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth transport operations
- Respond to queries and resolve issues quickly and professionally
- Track vehicle movements and elevate any operational concerns
- Ensure transport procedures, company policies, and health & safety standards are followed
- Support the wider transport team with general administration duties
About you:
- Previous administration experience (transport/logistics experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work confidently in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with drivers and colleagues
- Comfortable using computer systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure
