We are recruiting for a supportive and ambitious college in Bradford, looking for a Post-16 English & Maths Mentor to help students preparing to resit their GCSE qualifications.
Please note, you must hold a relevant Degree to be considered for this role.
This is more than an academic support role. You'll work with students who may have struggled with English and Maths, helping them rebuild their confidence, stay motivated, and achieve the qualifications they need for their next step.
Your Role
- Support students preparing for English and Maths resits
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group support
- Help students understand difficult topics and improve their skills
- Support revision and exam preparation
- Build confidence and motivation
- Track progress and celebrate student success
- Work closely with teaching and pastoral teams
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who genuinely wants to help young people achieve.
You could be an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor, Tutor, Graduate, or education professional with experience supporting young people aged 16+.
You'll need:
- Strong English and Maths knowledge
- A patient, positive, and encouraging approach
- The ability to motivate students who have lost confidence
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
Previous experience with GCSE resits, tutoring, mentoring, or post-16 education would be advantageous.
