We are currently recruiting for an Administrator to join a busy Sales Office. This is a varied role where you will provide administrative and customer service support, working closely with internal departments and customers to ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently. This would suit someone who is organised, detail-oriented and confident communicating with customers and colleagues. Previous administration experience is required, while experience within sales administration would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
The Role
- Accurately processing new orders and maintaining existing orders
- Preparing and processing quotations
- Carrying out credit insurance checks
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure orders are processed and delivered on time
- Responding to customer enquiries and providing updates where required
- Organising transport and customer collections
- Managing despatch and invoicing processes
- Preparing shipping documentation and reports
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records
- Supporting with credit control activities
- Providing general administrative support to the Sales Office and wider team
Skills & Experience
- Previous administration experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and friendly manner
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work
- The ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
- A punctual and reliable approach
- A self-motivated and proactive attitude
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent
