Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Perform advanced repairs and maintenance on vehicles/equipment to manufacturer and safety standards.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to resolve issues accurately.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, meeting productivity and turnaround targets.
- Carry out servicing & repairs to manufacturer standards including belt, clutch, gearbox & engine repairs/replacements.
- Execute electrical & mechanical diagnostics.
- Carry out warranty repairs.
- Conduct new car PDI’s and used car multi-point checks.
- Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards (if qualified).
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Requirements- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
- Manufacturer Accredited Diagnostic Technician qualification.
- Minimum 2 years diagnostic technician experience.
- Full and clean UK driving licence.
- Own tools.
- Manufacturer accreditations.
- EV/Hybrid accreditation.
- MOT licence (Class 4 & 7).
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. Saturday mornings on a rota.
