Role Overview
The successful candidate will join a strong and collaborative Humanities department, teaching Geography across Key Stages 3–5. The department has a strong commitment to delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of the physical and human world while encouraging critical thinking and global awareness. Teachers within the department work closely together to develop a rich and challenging curriculum that inspires curiosity about the environment, sustainability, and the changing world.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stage 3, 4 and potentially Key Stage 5
- Plan engaging and challenging lessons that support excellent student progress
- Contribute to curriculum development within the Humanities faculty
- Support fieldwork opportunities and enrichment activities
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards it (ECTs welcome)
- A strong academic background in Geography or a related discipline
