The English department is large, experienced and highly successful, delivering exceptional outcomes across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including multiple A Level English Language and Literature groups. As a Teacher of English, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3–KS5, including GCSE and A Level English
  • Inspire students to develop a love of reading, writing, critical thinking and academic discussion
  • Contribute to a high-quality curriculum that promotes exceptional progress and outcomes
  • Use assessment effectively to support learning and raise achievement
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive and experienced department to develop outstanding classroom practice
  • Contribute to enrichment opportunities that broaden students’ cultural and literary experiences

  • Are a qualified teacher of English or currently completing teacher training
  • Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for English Language and Literature
