The ITT Trainee Role

As a Trainee Maths Teacher, you will work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) while receiving structured training, coaching, and mentoring from experienced teachers and school leaders. Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Degree from Oxford, Cambridge, or a Russell Group University.
  • A First-Class Honours Degree or strong 2:1.
  • Degree in Mathematics or a Maths-related discipline, including Physics, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Excellent GCSE and A-Level results.
  • Strong subject knowledge and academic credibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for education and Mathematics.
  • The ability to inspire, motivate, and engage young people.

  • Previous experience tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or working with young people.
