Your Role

As a Graduate English Trainee Teacher, you'll gradually develop the skills and confidence to become an exceptional secondary teacher while receiving structured training and ongoing support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Training to become a qualified Teacher of English
  • Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in English Language and Literature
  • Delivering engaging lessons that develop reading, writing and communication skills
  • Working alongside experienced teachers to develop excellent classroom practice
  • Planning and delivering small-group interventions to raise attainment
  • Assisting with lesson planning, assessment and curriculum delivery
  • Building strong relationships with pupils to support both academic achievement and personal development
  • Successfully completing the ITT programme to gain Qualified Teacher Status
About You:
