A well-established specialist SEN school in North London is seeking a committed and adaptable Primary SEN Teacher to join their team. Key responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
- Create a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and emotional regulation
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of learning profiles and communication needs
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and wider professionals to support pupil outcomes
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Implement positive behaviour strategies using a consistent and relationship-led approach
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families and external agencies
- Contribute to the wider school community and ongoing development of inclusive practice
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching within primary, SEND or specialist settings
- Has a strong understanding of inclusive teaching and adaptive classroom practice
- Can build positive relationships with pupils who may present with additional behavioural or communication needs
- Is calm, resilient and passionate about supporting vulnerable young people
- Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
