We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Secondary SENCo to join our highly successful and inclusive secondary school in East London from September 2026. The successful candidate will work closely with an experienced and dedicated Inclusion Team, supporting students with SEND support needs and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across both mainstream provision and an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP). You will lead, develop and support effective practice to ensure that students with additional needs receive the highest quality provision and personalised support.
This is a strategic and rewarding role for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to ensuring vulnerable learners flourish.
As SENCo, you will:
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders, pastoral teams, teaching staff, parents and external agencies to secure exceptional outcomes for students with additional needs
- Support high-quality teaching through coaching, guidance and the dissemination of effective inclusive classroom strategies
- Monitor, analyse and evaluate student progress data to identify barriers to learning and implement impactful interventions
- Lead transition planning and ensure continuity of support for students joining or moving through the school
- Promote equality of opportunity and ensure students with SEND are fully included in all aspects of school life
- Contribute strategically to the continued development of SEND provision across the school
Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo) or is a qualified teacher willing to complete the qualification within the required timeframe. Demonstrates a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, EHCP processes and inclusive teaching approaches.
