We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Head of Design Technology and Engineering to lead a successful and growing department within a high-performing secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented practitioner and aspiring or experienced middle leader to shape the future of Design Technology and Engineering education for students across Key Stages 3–5.

The department offers a broad and engaging curriculum, including Design Technology, 3D Design at A Level, and a recently introduced Engineering GCSE. Students are enthusiastic about the subject, and the department has a strong culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional development.

As Head of Department, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for Design Technology and Engineering.
  • Drive high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
  • Lead curriculum development across KS3–KS5.

  • Use assessment and performance data to inform planning and raise outcomes.
