We are supporting a highly regarded specialist SEN school seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEND Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established provision supporting children and young people with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), physical disabilities, communication needs and complex medical conditions. Whether you already have experience within a specialist setting or are a mainstream teacher looking to transition into SEND, the school offers outstanding support, training and professional development opportunities. You will lead a small class of pupils with complex additional needs, delivering highly personalised learning programmes designed around each learner's EHCP outcomes, communication profile and developmental needs. Working alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in creating engaging learning opportunities that support communication, independence, social development, emotional wellbeing and life skills. Planning and delivering creative, engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs Supporting pupils with Autism, PMLD, SLD, sensory processing differences and complex medical needs Working collaboratively with Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and wider professionals Contributing to EHCP reviews, annual reviews and target setting Monitoring and recording pupil progress through personalised assessment frameworks Creating a safe, structured and positive learning environment that enables pupils to thrive Building strong relationships with parents, carers and external professionals Supporting pupils with personal care, mobility and health needs where required Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent A passion for supporting children and young people with SEND Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach to teaching A commitment to inclusive, person-centred and child-focused education The School Offers: Salary of Β£40,000 – Β£55,000 plus SEN Allowance Excellent professional development and career progression opportunities Specialist training and ongoing CPD A collaborative multidisciplinary approach to education Comprehensive wellbeing initiatives and staff support programmes The opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people with complex needs This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist school where every achievement is celebrated, every learner is valued and every member of staff plays a crucial role in helping pupils reach their full potential.
