About the Role

You will be working closely within a smaller-than-average Year 2 class, supporting children with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Non-verbal communication
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • A pupil with hearing impairment (deaf)

Experience with BSL (British Sign Language) or Makaton would be highly beneficial, but is not essential – the school is happy to support training and development in these areas. The Ideal Candidate

Experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, or working with children with SEND OR A graduate with a degree in Psychology, Education Studies, EYFS or a related field. A strong academic graduate who is considering training to become a teacher in the near future.
