We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Science Teacher to join a brand new, purpose-built specialist secondary school opening this September in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape a new provision supporting young people aged 11–18 who require additional support to succeed.
About the Role
You will deliver engaging and accessible Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), fostering curiosity and encouraging students to develop their understanding of the world around them. The role requires a flexible and creative approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt content to meet a wide range of learning needs.

About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics)
- GCSEs and A-Levels in Science (or equivalent), demonstrating a strong academic background in the subject
- Significant experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach to teaching
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics
- Experience in specialist or alternative provision settings
- Understanding of differentiated and personalised learning strategies
- Knowledge of trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches
