We are seeking a passionate and experienced Qualified English Teacher to join a brand new, purpose-built specialist secondary school opening this September in Manchester. About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons that engage, challenge, and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5). The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive education and have the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • GCSEs and A-Levels in English, demonstrating a strong academic background in the subject
  • Proven experience teaching English at secondary level
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum
  • Strong experience working with students with SEMH
  • A flexible, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Right to work within the UK

Desirable

  • Experience in specialist or alternative provision settings
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches to education
