We are seeking a passionate and experienced Qualified English Teacher to join a brand new, purpose-built specialist secondary school opening this September in Manchester. About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons that engage, challenge, and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5). The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive education and have the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- GCSEs and A-Levels in English, demonstrating a strong academic background in the subject
- Proven experience teaching English at secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum
- Strong experience working with students with SEMH
- A flexible, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Right to work within the UK
Desirable
- Experience in specialist or alternative provision settings
- Knowledge of trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches to education
