English Teacher 2iC Job Description

1. Ideally to hold an undergrad Degree in English from a top University
2. Similar experience in an inner-city school will be beneficial
3. Ability to teach and lead to an Outstanding level
4. Support and scaffold the efforts of the SLT and HOD English
5. Plan and deliver exceptional lessons to KS3, KS4 & KS5
6. Share best practice and nurture developing teachers in the English Department
7. Support trainee teachers and manage TA/LSA team
8. Deploy resources and liaise with the SEN team
9. Monitor and promote progress for all

Person Specification

1. Must be an experienced English Teacher with QTS
2. At least 3 years experience as an English Teacher
3. Ideally to hold an undergrad Degree in English from a top University
4. Similar experience in an inner-city school will be beneficial
5. Ability to teach and lead to an Outstanding level
6. Show and demonstrate an enthusiasm for teaching and learning
