An established and highly regarded SEN school in West London is seeking an inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join its senior leadership team. This is a rare and rewarding opportunity to help lead a specialist provision that places pupils’ wellbeing, progress and independence at the centre of its vision. The school supports children and young people with a range of complex needs, which may include ASD, SEMH, moderate to severe learning difficulties and associated needs. It is recognised for its calm, purposeful environment, skilled staff team and strong relationships with families and external professionals.

The Role: As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a key strategic and operational role, working closely with the Headteacher to drive continuous improvement across the school. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing visible, values-led leadership across the school
  • Supporting the quality of teaching, learning and assessment within a specialist SEN context
  • Leading on behaviour, inclusion, safeguarding or curriculum (area aligned to your strengths)
  • Coaching and developing middle leaders, teachers and support staff
  • Using data and evidence to monitor progress and improve outcomes
  • Working collaboratively with parents, local authorities and external agencies
  • Contributing to whole-school strategy, self-evaluation and inspection readiness
