A friendly and well-established primary school in London is looking to appoint an experienced and confident Cover Supervisor to join their team on a part-time basis (2–3 days per week) from September. About the Role
- As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absence.
- Deliver pre-set lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Manage classrooms effectively, maintaining a calm and purposeful environment.
- Ensure pupils remain engaged and focused on their learning.
- Apply the school’s behaviour policies consistently.
- Work across a range of year groups, adapting to different classroom settings with confidence.
This is a key role within the school, requiring someone who is self-assured, organised, and able to lead classes independently.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in Early Childhood, Education Studies, Maths, English, or a related subject.
- Strong academic background, including good A Levels and GCSEs (A–C) in English and Maths.
- Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or a qualified teacher (QTS).
- Excellent behaviour management skills – essential.
- Confidence in leading classes across different primary year groups.
- Strong communication, organisation, and adaptability.
- A proactive and reliable approach.
