Load, drive and unload the vehicle within the regulations laid down by BASIS, statute and the Company.

  • Maintain accurate and timely vehicle records and tachograph charts as required by the Company and legislation.
  • Maintain vehicles in a clean and safe condition. Report any defects found daily and by manners and appearance of self and vehicle. Create an efficient and courteous image for the Company and its services.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a safe and efficient storage and distribution operation.
  • Assist in unloading and moving stock around the depot.
  • Assist in maintaining the depot in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Deliver goods promptly and cost effectively as instructed by the Depot Manager/Supervisor ensuring the accuracy of each delivery against the delivery advice note and by using the most economic route in the order of priority of each delivery as instructed.
  • Adhere to company service standards, procedures and ways of working.
  • Adhere to all Company processes.
  • Assist with customer enquiries, both over the telephone and face to face.
  • Remain focussed at all times on presenting a professional and courteous service to all customers and being the ‘face’ of the company.
  • Assist in general depot duties as instructed by the Depot Manager/Supervisor.

  • Knowledge of product storage solutions.
