Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced FLT Driver.
In this vital role, you will operate forklifts to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within our facility.
Your expertise in handling heavy loads safely and accurately will ensure smooth warehouse operations and contribute to the commitment of timely deliveries.
This position offers an engaging environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount, empowering you to make a tangible impact every day.
Hours of work are Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift trucks to load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues.
- Assist with materials handling tasks such as stacking, organizing, and storing goods in designated areas.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and uphold safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse setting.
- Certification in forklift operation.
- Basic understanding of warehouse management systems for inventory control.
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Strong materials handling skills with attention to detail during load & unload activities.
- Good communication skills along with basic math proficiency for inventory counting and record keeping
