You’ll be the lead Maintenance Engineer for an area and be part of a leadership team of 3 (Process Lead, Maintenance Lead and Line Lead). The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing and delivering defined engineering processes within your area. These processes are primarily designed to reduce machine stoppages and ensure the correct level of asset care and maintenance strategy is deployed to each equipment item. This will be achieved by leading and coaching the entire area team to deliver true Autonomous Maintenance. You will be a crucial resource to ensure that the correct level of engineering capability is achieved within the team to progress our zero loss journey. This role will also require to you play a key role in the delivery of your own improvement initiatives along with larger capital projects for your area. Maintenance Planning and Scheduling DMs (Daily Maintenance) for the lines Oversee the Maintenance Planning for your area Provide updates during DDS (Daily Direction Setting meeting) to review breakdowns and Maintenance plans from the last 24hrs Prepare and lead the scheduling of the maintenance work for the next week during the weekly maintenance meeting Work with other Maintenance Leads to support the Progressive Maintenance (PM) Pillar by updating key KPI’s and attending Pillar meetings. Prepare the schedules for monthly maintenance work as dictated by the annual maintenance plan and as previously identified during the monthly meeting Assist the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Pillar by building capability within our daily management systems. Developing coaching plans to improve your area team’s capability to deliver the correct levels of maintenance. Here in the UK, we’re about 2,400 strong, spread across seven factories and our Slough HQ. Diversity isn’t just a buzzword for us.
