About the role
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you’ll play a key role in keeping our production lines running smoothly and safely. Working as part of the engineering team, you’ll support the day-to-day running of our equipment and contribute to continuous improvement across the site. You’ll be hands-on with both mechanical and electrical tasks, helping us deliver great-tasting snacks to our customers – right first time, every time. You’ll also support and coach colleagues, helping to build engineering capability across the team. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same, and where your ideas and energy will make a real difference.

What will you be doing?
- Responsible for the delivery of Planned Maintenance tasks along with the Maintenance Leads.
- Assist with delivery of capital work as and when required.
- Prioritise any reported incidents/stops whilst on shift and provide information of the occurrence and repair for analysis.
- Provide updates during Daily Direction Setting on any Preventative Maintenance or other work being undertaken.
- Provide engineering expertise for Line Structures in the absence of the Maintenance Lead.
- Input into the scheduling of maintenance work during the weekly maintenance meeting.
- Update technical documentation.
- Provide Engineering support to all aspects of the site.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities using IWS tools.
- If required, become a subject matter expert for the IWS PM Pillar or another pillar.
- Oversee contractor management.
- Champion engineering standards and safe working practices.

- A formal engineering qualification (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in multi skilled engineering)
- Electrical and mechanical experience and qualifications, including fault finding and diagnostics
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and safe working practices
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible, hands-on approach and willingness to support across shifts
- Experience operating complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Confidence using data to drive decisions and improvements
