Forklift Driver Leominster (Home of Tyrrells Potato Crisps)

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off - 12 hour shifts (06:00 - 18:00, 18:00 - 06:00) rotating.

As a Forklift Driver at Tyrrells, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient movement of materials around the site. From transporting finished goods to managing raw materials and unloading potato deliveries, you’ll support the daily operation by following site procedures and maintaining accurate stock records. Safety is key, and you’ll be responsible for operating machinery in line with training and site standards, conducting daily equipment checks, and helping to control vehicle movements across the yard. You’ll work closely with colleagues to meet production and despatch priorities, always upholding high standards of hygiene, quality, and food safety. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being active, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a team environment.

What will you be doing?

  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment confidently and safely to move stock efficiently across the site, supporting daily production and warehousing needs.
  • Tackle the challenge of managing incoming deliveries and outgoing despatches, ensuring accuracy and speed while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
  • Work closely with your teammates in the materials handling team to coordinate tasks, share updates, and keep everything running smoothly throughout the day.
  • Play a key role in keeping our operations flowing – your attention to detail and timely movements directly contribute to delivering our products to customers on time.
  • Grow your skills through hands-on experience and ongoing training, including maintaining certified competence in forklift operation and learning our stock control systems.

We’d love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • A valid and up-to-date Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is essential for this role.
  • You’ll need a good standard of basic English and Maths to follow site procedures and complete essential documentation accurately.
  • We’re looking for someone who can follow set processes and work confidently with scanning systems – helping the whole team stay organised, safe, and efficient.
  • Previous warehouse experience is a bonus, but not essential – if you’ve worked in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a busy team, we’d love to hear from you.
  • Experience operating an articulated truck, PPT stacker truck or Reach truck is helpful but not required – we’re open to supporting your development in these areas if you bring the right attitude and drive.
