Join to apply for the Growth Director role at Koto.

You are a commercially minded, creatively driven growth lead who knows how to turn potential into opportunity. You work across new business, existing client partnerships and outbound activity to grow Koto’s reputation, pipeline and client relationships. You understand brand, digital and marketing products and are happy speaking to and selling all of them. You’re confident building relationships, smart with a spreadsheet and at ease in a pitch.

Working closely with our CGO, Marketing and Client Service teams, you help shape and deliver our global growth strategy — balancing proactive, strategic outreach with timely, responsive new business activity. You understand that it’s not just about getting people in the door, but keeping the right clients with us for longer — and finding creative ways to grow those relationships.

Your Responsibilities
  • You lead Growth at a studio level, owning outbound and inbound new business opportunities, from early conversations to proposals, pitches and conversion.
  • You work with Client Service leadership on strategic growth across pillar clients inline with their account plans.
  • You design new outreach plans with the support of the Marketing team.
  • You contribute to and deliver against regional and global revenue targets, developing the studio pipeline while supporting the wider business growth objectives.
  • You develop strong, lasting relationships with new and existing clients — spotting, shaping and securing new work opportunities.
  • You partner with Client Services on cross-sell and upsell strategies that grow our impact with existing clients in smart, meaningful ways.
  • You support the CGO and studio MD in managing and reporting on the health of the pipeline, using data and forecasting to inform decisions and priorities.
  • You work with the Marketing team to help shape Koto’s presence at events, conferences and industry opportunities — attending, presenting or simply being in the right rooms.
  • You bring curiosity and insight, keeping a sharp eye on what’s happening across brand, digital and marketing, especially with our biggest clients — and what that means for Koto.
  • You work closely with our Marketing team to ensure consistency across our comms, campaigns and commercial strategy.
  • You represent Koto in early-stage conversations with clarity and confidence, whether responding to inbound enquiries or reaching out to someone new.
  • You’ll develop a deep understanding of our product and how it resonates with our prospective clients, driving business change.
  • You work closely with Client Services and Resourcing teams to deliver a smooth and seamless onboarding of new clients, ensuring that clients do not feel a 'baton pass' from new business to project commencement.
  • This role comes with an expectation of travel. Koto has studios in LA, New York, London, Berlin and Sydney, and many of our clients are international. You’ll be expected to travel periodically to meet them where they are — and bring those relationships to life.
Our Responsibilities
  • We will give you clear ownership of growth activity, with access to the CGO and leadership team to support you.
  • We will set clear KPIs and commission structures, with a discretionary bonus of up to 10% of your salary and a quarterly bonus for meeting sales targets of up to 10% of your salary.
  • We will give you the tools and autonomy to do your job well — with support from Client Services, Strategy, Creative and Marketing as needed.
  • We will encourage you to build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, globally.
  • We will support your development with regular check-ins, clear feedback and access to relevant training.
  • We will encourage you to take 25 days holiday yearly, in addition to UK bank holidays (on average eight), one additional holiday day per year (capped at five additional days), and a studio closure between Christmas and New Year.
  • We will contribute an additional 3% to anyone wanting to engage in the People’s Pension Scheme.
  • We deploy a monthly ‘employee wellness’ benefits package via Juno of £75 per month.
  • We reward five years of service with £5,000 and five days holiday.
  • We reward ten years of service with £10,000 and four weeks holiday.
  • We will give you the opportunity to work from any of the five Koto studios globally, with appropriate planning and application.
Our Culture

At Koto we encourage our team to be ‘rationally optimistic’ about the potential of our work, our clients, their businesses, and the power of brand. We pursue the best briefs, want to inspire meaningful work, and for those interested provide an opportunity to make the work of their lives. We work in person with an optional WFH day on Friday, and an additional two weeks remote a year. We believe this produces the best work, mentoring opportunities, collective learning and culture. We encourage autonomy in each member of our team, allowing them to manage their own time, hours and personal commitments appropriately to complete work.
