Core Mission: As a core member of a leading energy technology enterprise's EU regional business development team, you will lead the full-cycle development of large-scale energy storage projects (from early preparation phase to RtB stage) and coordinate the promotion and implementation of project investment and financing cooperation in the region. This role focuses on the reserve and expansion of large-scale energy storage projects, covering core directions such as greenfield new project development and early-stage project acquisition in the UK & EU market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously track and conduct in-depth analysis of the UK & EU regional electricity market structure, pricing rules, ancillary service demands, grid service systems and price fluctuation trends.
  • Explore, screen and evaluate energy storage project opportunities in pre-RtB stages and RtB stage, including greenfield projects, brownfield renovation projects, co-location development projects and other types.
  • Coordinate the management of key development workflows: project site selection, land negotiation and acquisition, grid access application processing, environmental and planning permit declaration, project M&A operations, providing core inputs for financial model construction, and coordinating various local resources.
  • Explore potential large-scale energy storage projects through diversified channels, including the use of data-driven digital tools to accurately lock target projects and suitable land resources.
  • Be responsible for the full-process control of land acquisition, directly participate in negotiation and communication with landowners, and coordinate the work of external land agent partners.
  • Act as the company's representative to connect with external key stakeholders, including local government departments, parliamentary institutions, professional consulting firms, land owners, etc.
  • Fully responsible for the management of all aspects of the project development process, including the advancement of grid connection, the implementation of land acquisition, the handling of various permits, the conduct of environmental assessments, leading public hearing processes, and establishing and maintaining long-term and stable cooperative relationships with local stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the company's internal engineering, finance, legal, operations and other relevant departments to accurately identify potential project risks and formulate prevention and control measures, and implement optimization plans to maximize project value.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams and external professional consultants to efficiently promote the implementation of grid access-related processes.
  • Formulate project budget plans and conduct strict control and execution, build a project schedule management system and track progress, while undertaking the responsibility of internal project lead and supervising the work quality and progress of external consultants.

Requirements:

Experience: 5 years or more of relevant work experience in the energy or power industry, with professional experience in project development, technical management, project M&A operations, engineering management and other related fields.

Skills:

  • Proficient in mastering the delivery logic and practical methods of projects from initiation and preparation, full-process development to RtB stage.
  • Have practical experience in energy storage project development, project M&A or asset rotation in the UK & EU region, with verifiable project achievements.
  • Solidly grasp the core knowledge of key influencing factors in the design of constructable and bankable large-scale energy storage battery projects (BESS).
  • Candidates with project development experience extending from RtB stage to Final Investment Decision (FID) and Commercial Operation Date (COD) stage will be given priority.

Communication: Excellent negotiation skills and stakeholder management capabilities, able to efficiently connect with technical teams, investment partners, legal and compliance departments, landowners and relevant government agencies.

Education: Master's degree or above in Business Administration, Engineering or related majors.

Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken), able to use it proficiently as a working language; proficiency in other major European languages such as German, French and Spanish is a plus.

Mobility: Ability to adapt to high-frequency business travel needs within the UK & EU region.
