Barista/Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the café. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, serving, and time management within a vibrant environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
• Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly service
• Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems with basic math skills
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and utensils
• Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
• Assist with food preparation tasks when required, following health and safety guidelines
• Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
• Uphold the café\’s standards of presentation, hygiene, and customer care

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role
• Knowledge of food safety regulations is desirable
• Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
• Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during shifts
• Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a dynamic setting

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
