The Role
Reporting to Simon, Kortext’s Chief Revenue Officer, the Partnerships Business Development Director will develop partnerships with organisations across a variety of sectors, including Online retailers, VLE providers, Hardware manufacturers, Software companies, Telcos, Ministries, Government departments, Resellers and Distributors. The role will involve travel across the UK and internationally.
As a part of the senior management team at Kortext, you will play a pivotal role in helping Kortext reach its goals and become the number 1 digital learning platform worldwide.
Key responsibilities:
- Prospect to develop a strong pipeline of new partnerships, aligned to Kortext’s strategic goals.
- Build a diverse portfolio of high value, profitable, multi-year partnerships.
- Deliver sustained growth and achieve agreed annual sales targets.
- Oversee the effective and efficient renewal of existing partner contracts.
- Protect, nurture and grow existing partnerships.
- Work closely with marketing colleagues to devise and implement an effective marketing and events plan to deliver agreed sales objectives.
- Analyse sales data and metrics to track performance against targets, delivering timely and rigorous in-year sales forecasts.
- Input into annual budgeting process.
- Respond to tenders as required, meeting tight deadlines.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences as required.
- Input into the creation and execution of go-to-market plans for key products & services.
- Provide market, product and competitor information feedback.
Key skills & Requirements:
- Successful track record in solution sales (minimum 5 years).
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the Higher Education sector, key trends and best practices.
- Knowledge of content platforms and educational technologies.
- Experienced and confident demonstrating solutions online.
- Comfortable presenting online using Microsoft Teams, Zoom and other relevant applications.
- Ability to mix with senior stakeholders, building trust and engendering confidence.
- Experience in developing compelling, impactful Commercial Proposals.
- Adept in handling time-sensitive, complex, high stakes negotiations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels across different functions.
- Ability to work under pressure, cope with uncertainty and deal with ambiguity.
- Data driven and analytical.
- Commercial acumen, financially literate.
- Persuasive with excellent negotiation skills.
- High level of competence in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
