We have partnered with our client in their search for an AI Workstream Lead, responsible for defining and delivering a critical component of the organisation's AI transformation programme. Reporting to the AI Business Transformation Lead, this role owns their workstream end-to-end - from vision and roadmap through to delivery and measurable benefits. This is a senior, autonomous role suited to an experienced transformation leader who can operate confidently across business and technology, shape direction in ambiguous environments, and ensure AI initiatives deliver tangible value. This is an outside IR35, 12 month initial contract, offered on a hybrid basis with Nottingham as a base location.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of an assigned AI workstream
- Translate enterprise AI strategy into actionable plans, milestones, and outcomes
- Work closely with business, technology, data, and external partners to drive delivery
- Shape and prioritise initiatives, use cases, and interventions within the workstream
- Ensure AI solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned to business needs
- Track, articulate, and realise benefits (efficiency, capability uplift, revenue, CX)
- Act as a senior point of accountability and escalation for the workstream
- Contribute to programme-level governance, decision-making, and stakeholder alignment
- Enable delivery teams while maintaining oversight and direction
- Operate with autonomy while aligning closely with the wider AI transformation agenda
Required Experience
- Proven experience leading complex business, digital, or data-led transformations
- Demonstrable experience delivering AI-enabled or advanced analytics initiatives
- Strong track record of operating in large, complex, or regulated organisations
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, early-stage transformation environments
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and working across organisational boundaries
- Ability to take accountability for outcomes, not just activity
