With a long history of technical expertise and consistent investment in innovation, the business plays a critical role in supporting a range of advanced sectors, both in the UK and internationally. This heavy engineering company is embarking on a large-scale growth & transformation journey, with considerable investment from its parent company. As the company continues to grow and evolve, it is looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Project Manager - Engineering to join their team at their Ellesmere Port site. This is an onsite role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of projects covering CAPEX, process improvements, equipment installations, and operational initiatives, ensuring they are delivered safely on time, within budget, and to technical specifications. This position will give you the opportunity to contribute to products and technologies that have far-reaching impact across multiple industries.

How you’ll add value:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Full end to end project responsibility, including budget management and lessons learnt
  • Technical & Operational Coordination: Working cross functionally with all business units
  • Safety & Compliance: Champion a strong EH&S culture, leading by example and training and developing where necessary
  • Stakeholder & Contractor Management: Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, and lead all contractor management duties

About you:

  • Proven experience leading multiple projects within a fast-paced environment, including budget responsibilities.
  • Ability to implement project management principles and practices within a greenfield setting
  • Demonstrable experience within an engineering environment
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety practices in an industrial setting
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholders, in a changing, transformative environment
  • A recognised Project management qualification
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
