We are seeking an experienced Lead Data & Integration Architect to support the delivery of a highly sensitive, mission-critical digital capability within a secure government environment.
This role requires an individual who combines strong technical architecture expertise with the ability to work directly with operational stakeholders, understand complex information challenges and translate them into practical, implementable data solutions.
The successful candidate will identify opportunities to improve the flow, accessibility, trustworthiness and exploitation of information across complex systems, helping to enable faster and better-informed decision making through robust data architecture and integration design.
This is a delivery-focused role for someone who can move beyond strategy and documentation to define and implement tangible improvements across data, systems and information management.
- Key Requirements
- Active DV clearance (mandatory).
- Availability to start at short notice.
- Proven experience delivering data architecture and systems integration within complex and secure environments.
- Strong expertise in data modelling, information architecture and integration design.
- Experience defining data standards, ownership models, governance frameworks and information flows.
- Knowledge of APIs, metadata management, data lineage, provenance and secure data-sharing principles.
- Understanding of AI/ML-enabled environments and associated assurance requirements.
- Ability to engage with operational users and technical teams to translate real-world challenges into deliverable solutions.
Desirable Experience
- Defence, National Security or Central Government experience.
- Experience working across complex digital transformation programmes.
- Exposure to modern data platforms and integration technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud-based and distributed architectures.
- Candidate Profile
You will be a pragmatic and credible architect who is comfortable operating in highly secure environments and engaging with both technical and operational stakeholders.
You will be capable of identifying information challenges, shaping practical solutions and driving improvements that deliver measurable operational benefit.
