Senior Full Stack Engineer - AI | LLMs in City of Westminster

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver end-to-end engineering solutions across Back End, Front End and cloud platforms
• Design, build and modernise full-stack applications across diverse architectures and codebases
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (eg GitHub Copilot, OpenAI APIs, LLM-driven workflows, automation pipelines) to accelerate delivery
• Contribute to high-priority product rebuilds and greenfield proof-of-concept initiatives
• Collaborate closely with global engineering, architecture, and product teams
• Operate autonomously: make sound technical decisions, unblock challenges, and drive outcomes
• Rapidly understand and adapt to unfamiliar systems, languages, and frameworks as required
• Champion engineering excellence, including clean architecture, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and robust automated testing

This is a hands‑on, senior individual contributor role for a pragmatic Full Stack Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, moving fast, and operating with a high degree of autonomy. You’ll play a key role in shaping how AI accelerates software development, from proof‑of‑concept platforms to critical product rebuilds.

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience as a Senior Full Stack Engineer
• Strong expertise in .NET/C# and React (or a similar modern JavaScript framework)
• Experience integrating or working with AI tools, LLM APIs, or AI‑assisted development workflows
• Solid cloud engineering experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP – cloud‑agnostic environment)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices
• Proven ability to navigate complex or unfamiliar codebases quickly and effectively
• A pragmatic, outcome‑driven mindset with excellent problem‑solving skills
