This heavy engineering company is embarking on a large-scale growth & transformation journey, with considerable investment from its parent company. As the company continues to grow and evolve, it is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their Ellesmere Port site.

As the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will have the responsibility to ensure the manufacturing equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably — minimising downtime and driving continuous improvement across the site. This will give you the opportunity to contribute to products and technologies that have far-reaching impact across multiple industries.

How you’ll add value:

  • Deliver hands-on maintenance support to keep production running smoothly and maximise uptime.
  • Quickly diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues across diverse equipment.
  • Carry out and improve PPM tasks to boost performance and extend equipment life.
  • Champion a safe working environment, following all Health & Safety requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance reliability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Support engineering projects, upgrades, and site-wide improvements.
  • Maintain tools, parts, and documentation to high standards.

About you:

  • You are already an experienced multi-skilled engineer with a mechanical bias (approx. 70/30 mechanical to electrical).
  • You have experience with systems such as temperature control, vacuum, water/air cooling, dust extraction, and 3-phase power.
  • You have a strong commitment to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
  • A positive attitude, self-motivation, and willingness to learn and grow with the business.
