With a long history of technical expertise and consistent investment in innovation, the business plays a critical role in supporting a range of advanced sectors, both in the UK and internationally. This heavy engineering company is embarking on a large-scale growth & transformation journey, with considerable investment from its parent company. As the company continues to grow and evolve, it is looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Shift Manager to join their team at their Ellesmere Port site.
Working on a rotating weekly shift pattern of 6am – 2pm one week, and then 2 – 10pm, Monday to Friday, you will lead production operations within this specialised manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will oversee shift teams, drive safe, efficient, and high quality output while consistently supporting the team to achieve performance and production targets. This will give you the opportunity to contribute to products and technologies that have far-reaching impact across multiple industries.
How you’ll add value:
- Lead, supervise, and motivate production teams during assigned shifts

About you:
- Proven experience in a metal making, steel, foundry, or heavy manufacturing environment
- Demonstrable supervisory or shift management experience

- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-temperature production environment
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends if required
