Our Mission: Scope automates the data collection that's slowing down the physical world. Standards are vital for the safety of our infrastructure. Spending hours manually documenting them is not.

Dave is an inspector. Today he’s climbing through one of Europe’s biggest chemical plants, looking for the corrosion that could shut the whole site down, with a notebook and pen in hand. Tomorrow, he’ll spend even longer on the part of the job he hates: turning those scribbles into a report.

We’re building the AI-native data collection layer for the 2 billion field workers like Dave. Scope radically simplifies how inspectors collect data in the field, make decisions, and produce reports. Along the way, we’re building the largest dataset on the condition of the built world and the decisions experts make about it. It’s a $2T market and we’re just getting started. We're growing rapidly, and already work with 7 of the top 10 companies in the space. Our customers inspect facilities and products for companies including AstraZeneca and SpaceX.

We take pride in our talent density, and have assembled a best-in-class team: acquired and future founders, people from institutions like Imperial, Carnegie Mellon and Oxford, and from firms like Palantir, Goldman Sachs and Flexport.

Since launching from Entrepreneurs First in 2024, we've raised an oversubscribed $20m round led by Index Ventures, the firm behind Figma, Revolut and Wiz, with over 100 unicorns backed to date.

About the role:

  • Real product ownership. You’ll go on site with inspectors, decide what matters, design it, ship it, and see whether it worked.
  • The hard, interesting problems in AI. Field data is messy: voice notes, photos, video, half-finished sentences recorded in a chemical plant with no signal. Turning that into a report an expert will sign is a context-engineering problem nobody has solved well yet.
  • A small team that ships fast. We ship to production every day and put changes in front of inspectors within days, not quarters. Ideas go from a site visit to a live feature in a single sprint. If something doesn’t land, we learn why and iterate quickly. There are no layers of sign-off between you and the user.

What you’ll do:

  • Redesign the mobile app for how inspectors actually work: gloves on, no signal, one hand holding on.
  • Build the systems that take voice notes, photos, videos and proactively finish reports without being annoying.
  • Engineer how we feed context to AI models: how to store, fetch and select standards, reports, media, user intention.
  • Evolve our workflow builder: something between Retool, Webflow and n8n for inspections.
  • Design the architecture behind the product: how unstructured data flows through the system, how AI is integrated, how offline and online behaviour stay seamless, and how we keep the product simple as it becomes more powerful.

Who you are:

  • You’re deeply technical. You’re a little bit sad that AI tooling creates more distance between you and the code, and you still like knowing how things work underneath.
  • You’re a manager of one. We believe great teams are made up of highly agentic people who care more about shipping results than collecting badges.
  • You’ve got the scar tissue. You have 5+ years of experience and know which technical decisions matter, and which ones don’t.
  • You’ve shipped real applications. Ideally mobile, ideally with Expo or React Native. You care about the details that break in the real world: offline, flaky networks, error states.
  • You’re curious about AI as an engineering problem. You’re interested in getting messy real-world inputs into a model and getting something reliable back out, not just in calling an API.

Interview process:

  • An initial call with our talent team.
  • A collaborative technical exercise with an engineer, usually in Typescript or Python.
  • An interview with a cofounder - Jonny (CEO) or Jakob (CTO).
  • Onsite Product Interview - Meeting more people on the team and getting a feel of what it would be like to work here.
  • Offer!

Compensation and benefits:

  • We’re in the office five days a week, so we’ve made it a great place to be.
  • £120k–£150k base + significant equity, so you have a real stake in what you’re building.
  • 33 days’ holiday (including bank holidays, which you can take at your discretion).
  • Bupa private medical: £0 excess, pre-existing conditions covered, digital GP, plus Bupa dental.
  • Fresh meal prep delivered every week, a stocked fridge, and team lunch out every Friday.
  • Working late? Dinner’s on us, and so is your Uber home.
  • Full visa sponsorship.
  • New MacBook and whatever tools you need.
  • Flexible parental leave, including adoption leave.
  • Regular team events and off-sites.

How to prepare for a job interview at korecv

✨Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

✨Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If korecv uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

✨Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
