BSI, in partnership with LG Energy Solution, is seeking an experienced ESS Field Team Leader to support and oversee field operations for energy storage systems (ESS). This role includes handsâon technical work, team supervision, job scheduling, workflow coordination, and daily job reporting. The ideal candidate is detailâoriented, safety-focused, and capable of leading field teams across multiple job sites.
Responsibilities
- Measure, calibrate, and record battery voltages
- Operate machinery safely following established procedures
- Inspect products to ensure quality compliance
- Identify and report defects to minimize waste
- Transport materials using scissor lifts or similar equipment
- Perform routine maintenance to prevent equipment downtime
- Conduct quality checks and maintain accurate data records
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
Leadership & Management Duties
- Plan and schedule daily/weekly field jobs
- Lead and manage field technicians; assign tasks and support workflow
- Provide onâsite guidance, training, and problem resolution
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers
- Complete and submit daily job reports (progress, issues, corrective actions)
- Support process improvements and operational enhancements
Additional Duties
- Assist with general manufacturing, inspection, and CNC processes as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in electrical, maintenance, or technician roles preferred but not required
- Prior leadership or field team management experience strongly preferred
- Basic mechanical skills with ability to operate machinery
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Attention to detail and strong commitment to safety
- Ability to work in a fastâpaced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Physical ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the workday
