About Kord
Kord is an FCA-regulated fintech delivering KYC, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), identity verification, and payments infrastructure to regulated businesses across the UK. We sit at the intersection of compliance, fintech, and trust, helping companies verify who they are dealing with quickly and reliably.
The role
This is a hands-on digital marketing role with lead generation and analytics at its centre. You will run our campaigns across social, email, and the website, then measure what happens and tell the rest of the business what the numbers mean.
Writing is not part of the job. Every word we publish comes from our lead copywriter, from social posts and emails through to landing pages and sales collateral, and our marketing designer produces the visuals. You will work day to day with both of them and with our Head of Marketing, briefing the work, planning the channels and the timings, getting it live, and reporting on how it performed.
One of the most important tasks of the team is to grow inbound. We want marketing bringing in a steady flow of qualified enquiries so that Sales spend less time chasing cold prospects and more time talking to people who came to us. Sales will be your closest partner in that, and what they tell you about lead quality should shape where you spend next.
What you will do
- Lead generation
- Own the digital lead generation plan across paid social, organic social, email, search, and the website.
- Build and run landing pages and campaign journeys using copy from the copywriter, and test your way towards better conversion.
- Work with Sales on lead quality, routing, and follow-up, and adjust targeting based on what they see in conversations.
- Analytics and insights
- Own reporting on channel performance, cost per lead, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution.
- Build dashboards in HubSpot and Google Analytics that people outside marketing can actually read.
- Turn the numbers into clear recommendations, including where to stop spending.
- Set up and maintain tracking properly: UTMs, events, goals, and attribution.
- Email marketing and CRM hygiene
- Build and send email campaigns and nurture journeys in HubSpot, working from copy the copywriter supplies.
- Own segmentation, lists, workflows, and lifecycle stages.
- Keep the CRM clean: deduplication, data quality, consistent properties, lead scoring, and suppression management.
- Keep our data practices in order, including consent and unsubscribe handling.
- Website and product marketing
- Manage our WordPress site day to day: building pages from supplied copy and assets, updates, technical SEO basics, and page speed.
- Support product launches with the campaign plan, channel rollout, and post-launch reporting.
- Coordinate collateral with the copywriter and designer, from one-pagers to case studies, and keep the sales library current.
- Use RocketSaaS alongside the rest of the stack in your day to day work.
- Social media
- Run the day to day on LinkedIn as our main channel, plus any secondary channels we test.
- Own the content calendar, scheduling, community management, and paid amplification. The posts themselves are written for you.
- Brief the copywriter and designer on what each post needs, then report on what performed and why.
Requirements
All of the following are essential:
- 3 to 5 years of B2B digital marketing experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up in tech or fintech. You are used to shifting priorities, thin resources, and getting things live rather than perfect.
- A demonstrable record in lead generation, with numbers you can talk through honestly, including the campaigns that did not work.
- Strong analytics skills. You are comfortable in Google Analytics, you can build a report that answers a question, and you know the difference between a signal and noise.
- Hands-on HubSpot experience across email, workflows, lists, and reporting, plus CRM hygiene.
- Hands-on B2B social media experience with LinkedIn as the primary channel, organic and paid.
- Confident managing a WordPress site without needing a developer for routine changes.
- Familiar with Figma, enough to review designs, comment usefully, and pull assets yourself.
- Organised and self-directed, at ease in a small team without much scaffolding.
Advantageous
- Experience with RocketSaaS, which we work closely with. It will shorten your ramp-up.
- Experience marketing to regulated industries, financial services, or compliance buyers.
- Product marketing exposure, particularly supporting launches.
- Paid search, paid social, or SEO at a deeper level.
- Account-based marketing experience.
- An interest in regulation, financial crime, and fintech.
The hiring process
- First stage screening with HR, online.
- Skills interview with the marketing team, online.
- Take-home assignment.
- Presentation of the assignment, in person.
- Culture fit conversation, in person.
