About Kord
Life's biggest moments deserve confidence.
Buying a home, moving money, onboarding a client, completing a critical transaction: trust sits at the centre of every decision.
At Kord, we're building the infrastructure that makes it instant, secure, and verifiable.
Founded in 2019, we've grown from an onboarding platform into a comprehensive trust infrastructure provider serving regulated professional services firms, including conveyancing solicitors and litigation practices, across the legal, property, and financial services sectors.
Through intelligent data orchestration, identity verification, compliance automation, payment processing, safeguarding, and cryptographic proof, we help regulated businesses move faster while maintaining the highest standards of security and compliance.
Our goal is simple: make complex transactions feel effortless.
Venture-backed and supported by a network of experienced entrepreneurs, we operate FCA-authorised payment and credit-data businesses and power critical workflows for businesses across the UK and beyond.
Now we're looking for an experienced
Head of Marketing to build and lead our marketing function from the ground up, grow a high‑performing team, and make marketing a measurable driver of pipeline and revenue.
Why this role matters
This is a rare opportunity to join at a genuine growth inflection point.
We have proven product‑market fit and strong momentum, and now need a marketing leader to unlock the next phase of expansion and build a category‑defining brand in the process.
You’ll own marketing end to end: defining the strategy, leading the team, and proving the commercial impact of everything we do, working directly with the CEO and commercial leadership to shape how Kord goes to market and how we scale.
We take progression seriously.
This is a build‑it‑from‑the‑ground‑up leadership role with real scope to shape the function, influence major decisions, and grow into a senior leader as the business grows.
As Kord scales, so does this role.
- What You’ll Own
- Build and lead the team
- Line‑manage, mentor, and grow a high‑performing marketing team from the ground up, scaling it as the business grows
- Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Set the strategy
- Define Kord’s full marketing strategy, positioning, and go‑to‑market motion
- Partner directly with the CEO and commercial leadership to shape how the business scales
- Own the roadmap, planning rhythm, and commercial targets for the function
- Demand generation and pipeline
- Build and own a repeatable, multi‑channel demand generation engine that materially grows qualified B2B pipeline
- Plan and run paid acquisition (Google Ads, Linked In), SEO, email, and content programmes against clear pipeline targets
- Design and execute account‑based marketing for considered, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles into regulated firms
- Own the numbers: CAC, pipeline contribution, conversion, and attribution, and report them to leadership
- Positioning and messaging
- Translate complex, technical, and regulated propositions into clear, compelling value for buyers
- Develop and own Kord’s positioning, messaging, and value propositions across products and audiences
- Build sales narratives and thought leadership that establish Kord’s authority in trust and compliance infrastructure
- Marketing operations and channels
- Own the marketing technology stack and operating rhythm (Hub Spot CRM and automation, analytics, paid platforms, email, and web)
- Build the reporting and measurement infrastructure that makes marketing’s impact visible and accountable
- Drive efficiency and experimentation across channels to compound results over time
- Sales alignment
- Partner closely with sales and commercial leadership to align marketing output with revenue goals
- Build sales enablement assets and feedback loops that improve conversion through the funnel
Requirements
- Extensive B2B marketing experience, with a proven track record of building demand generation that drove measurable pipeline and revenue
- Line management experience is a must: you have hired, developed, and led marketing teams
- Strong commercial and analytical orientation, comfortable owning targets, metrics, and attribution
- Hands‑on capability across marketing automation and CRM (e. g. Hub Spot), paid acquisition, SEO, email, and content
- Excellent positioning and messaging skills, ideally for technical, considered, or complex products
- Ability to operate independently and set direction in a fast‑moving, scaling business
- Energised by building a function from the ground up rather than inheriting one
- Highly desirable
- Experience marketing to legal, property, financial services, or other regulated professional buyers
- Experience in early‑stage or scale‑up businesses where you built or scaled the marketing function
- Account‑based marketing experience for multi‑stakeholder B2B sales cycles
- A strong content and thought‑leadership track record
- Familiarity with compliance‑sensitive marketing and financial promotions requirements
