As a Cost Manager, you will be part of a small but strong team dedicated to planning, controlling, and monitoring project costs across the UK. You will play a key role in ensuring financial efficiency, managing budgets, forecasting costs, and keeping projects aligned with financial objectives. Your tasks and responsibilities will be as follows:
- Establish and develop cost account systems (i.e., Material, Labor, Third Party Workers) for Projects and internal orders, including Billings, project maintenance in SAP (Project setup, Closure, Cost Centre Set up).
- Maintain annual standard calculation schemes for material, labor, and overhead, and provide cost calculation bases for product/project pricing.
- Track and maintain Actual costs compared to planned costs on projects and analyze variances.
- Prepare regular reports for internal stakeholders.
- Assist in internal and external audits.
- Ensure coherence with superior controlling standards, policies, and procedures, adopting respective processes.
- Plan, monitor, and review project budgets, providing and commenting on Actual vs. Plan reports.
- Monitor financial performance, provide KPI analysis, and prepare and comment on respective performance reports and forecasts.
- Ensure proper revenue and cost controlling, and design and maintain underlying planned costs in account systems.
- Analyze, prepare, approve, and review Cost Centre expenditures, providing respective reporting.
- Oversee day-to-day controlling and financial analysis operations.
- Gather and consolidate budget data and monitor Actual vs. Plan comparisons.
- Prepare regular business reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- May carry out ad-hoc analyses and profitability calculations.
- Support evaluations of assets and liabilities.
