You will be part of a young and vibrant company of experts in their fields where you will have a clear focus and ownership space. If you work in the OTC Derivatives space (product or operations) and have a passion for product, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and want to make an immediate and lasting impact, this role is for you.

About KOR: KOR is a young company using leading edge cloud technology built by industry domain experts and world class in‑house engineering. We are on a mission to innovate B2B trade servicing starting with regulatory reporting in time for a global wave of mandated changes hitting all segments of market participants across OTC derivatives transactions. We are solving challenging problems by bringing fresh designs and solutions to data utility, quality, and processing inefficiencies, while unlocking value for clients. Teamwork and laser focus are central to everything we do at KOR.

About The Role: We are seeking a proactive and analytical Senior Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting the global regulatory landscape for derivatives. You will play a critical part in ensuring the firm understands and anticipates regulatory changes, assessing their impact on our business, and translating those requirements into actionable solutions with our technology partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the Regulatory Horizon: Actively track and analyze regulatory developments, proposed rules, final rules, and guidance from key global regulators, including the CFTC, SEC, ESMA (EMIR), UK FCA (MiFID II), Canadian provincial regulators, ASIC (Australia), and MAS (Singapore).
  • Conduct Impact Assessments: Perform detailed analysis of regulatory changes to determine their potential impact on the firm’s derivatives trading desks, operations, technology, and control functions.
  • Translate Regulation into Requirements: Lead the process of gathering and documenting business requirements based on regulatory mandates. Write detailed specifications and user stories for technology teams to build and implement compliant solutions.
  • Liaise with Technology Teams: Serve as a key subject matter expert for development teams. Review technical designs, clarify requirements throughout the software development lifecycle, and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions fully meet regulatory objectives.
  • Synthesize & Communicate: Produce clear, concise, and actionable intelligence reports, summaries, and presentations for a variety of audiences, from senior management to implementation teams.
  • Data-Driven Analysis: Perform data‑driven analysis to model the potential impact of regulatory changes using tools such as Microsoft Excel or other data analytics platforms. Query and analyze data from relational databases using SQL to support your findings.
  • Collaborate Cross‑Functionally: Partner with Legal, Compliance, Front Office, Technology, and Operations to provide subject matter expertise and advise on the practical implementation of new regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Regulatory Change: Contribute to the regulatory change management lifecycle, using tools like Jira to track the progress of implementation projects stemming from new rules.

Experience And Attributes:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the institutional financial services industry, with a strong preference for experience at a large sell‑side investment firm.
