Role Objective

To raise awareness of Kooth (and Qwell if applicable) and achieve CYP contract registration targets by engaging with trusted referrers including schools, colleges, GPs, A&E, pharmacies, community groups, sports clubs, and charities. This role involves weekly travel.

Split of Role:

  • Promote Kooth directly to young people in secondary schools and colleges: 50%
  • Raise awareness of Kooth (and Qwell where applicable) by delivering training to teaching staff in schools and colleges: 15%
  • Raise awareness and encourage referral to Kooth (and Qwell where applicable) by offering information and training to community professionals, prioritizing GP Practice Managers, CAMHS, A&E, and Family Hubs: 15%
  • Promote Kooth to children in Year 6/Primary 6 by clustering engagement of local primary schools during transition period in the summer term: 10%
  • Maintain up-to-date records of engagement activity in Salesforce and EPs: 8%
  • Support the delivery of the national webinar programme: 2%

Main Responsibilities

  • Promote Kooth to young people in schools and colleges.
  • Prioritize engagement of secondary schools and colleges, with at least the largest 50% (based on pupil number) engaged in the past 6 months, i.e., minimum of an intro email sent and one or more telephone calls made per setting.
  • Deliver whole school or whole year group assembly presentations about Kooth, with a minimum audience of 50 young people if visiting in person, and aim for at least 3 presentations per week.
  • Once a school is engaged, strive to secure assemblies for all year groups, staff training, and parent communications (including Qwell for teachers and parents).
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of all secondary schools and FE/Sixth Form colleges in the contract area(s) using the current Engagement Plan (EP) template.
  • Host stalls at high footfall public events, including Freshers Fairs.
  • Focus on virtual, direct-to-CYP promotion of Kooth to clusters of primary schools (not F2F in individual schools), and only in the summer term.
  • Inform and promote Kooth (and Qwell where applicable) to referrers.
  • Build and maintain a database of all GP surgeries and medical centres in the contract area(s), with named Practice Managers where possible.
  • Promote Kooth (and Qwell, if applicable) to education, healthcare, and community professionals by offering staff training, allocating your time according to the percentage split of time per group as shown above, and considering commissioner priorities.
  • Join local social media groups and promote Kooth (& Qwell) using resources supplied centrally or via your team’s Canva Creation Lead.
  • Raise awareness with parents/carers about Kooth (and Qwell, if applicable) by attending secondary school parents’ evenings.

General

  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge about Kooth and Qwell services, safeguarding, chat processes, and user benefits.
  • Understand and implement the “6 steps to success” engagement process, supporting your sub-regional team by taking ownership of one step for all contracts, as agreed with your line manager.
  • Improve confidence, presentation skills, and interactivity in public speaking, seeking support from your line manager if needed.
  • Plan outreach strategically to maximize reach and minimize travel time across the contract area(s).
  • Use monthly data and commissioner priorities to assess and evolve your engagement approach in monthly 1-1s with your line manager.
  • Represent your work and Kooth plc professionally in quarterly commissioner meetings.
  • Ensure Salesforce and Engagement Plans are regularly updated.
  • Share all new contacts with the Channel Marketing Manager for uploading into Hubspot.
  • Attend regional network meetings where you will present information about Kooth/Qwell.
