Role Objective

We are seeking an ambitious, part‑qualified Finance Professional (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) to join our team in a pivotal hybrid role. The position serves as a bridge between core financial accounting and strategic commercial analysis, taking ownership of the month‑end close and contributing to FP&A workstreams.

Responsibilities

  • Month‑End Procedures: Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, board slides, balance‑sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
  • P&L Analysis: Investigate variances against budget and provide insights to budget owners and senior finance team.
  • Business Partnering: Create relationships with key stakeholders to gather information and ensure accurate financial data and analysis.
  • Capitalised Development Costs: Maintain the CapEx workbook, oversee amortisation schedules, and work with Product and Engineering teams to ensure time‑card accuracy.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist with VAT returns and ensure compliance with UK statutory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies within the finance function, especially around automation and reporting tools.
  • Audit Support: Provide documentation and explanations for year‑end audit queries.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Part‑qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with a clear timeline for qualification.
  • Experience: Finance experience in a professional services or fast‑growth environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong Excel (XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SUMIFs) and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Attributes: Proactive self‑starter with high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with non‑finance stakeholders.
