Role Summary: Kooth is a leading digital mental health provider dedicated to accessible, effective, and person-centred care. We seek a clinical academic for the role of Deputy Head of Clinical Education and Development, combining frontline mental health experience with academic expertise in curriculum design and evidence-based learning. The role involves embedding educational quality, driving validation, and developing learning pathways and accreditation ambitions. This leadership position suits someone passionate about clinical practice, education, outcomes, and innovation.
Responsibilities include:
- Shaping and delivering internal training
- Ensuring compliance with standards
- Deputising for the Head of Clinical Education and Training
- Contributing to strategy, operations, and accreditation

Main Responsibilities Including but not limited to:
- Design and deliver evidence-informed training for clinical and cross-functional teams
- Develop structured, credible training pathways for external accreditation
- Ensure content is therapeutic, engaging, and innovative
- Embed learning outcomes, assessments, and quality assurance
- Align content with academic standards and prepare for external validation
- Manage and support clinical educators, fostering inclusive and safe leadership
- Lead co-produced education, incorporating user voice and lived experience
- Utilize outcome data and feedback for content updates and impact monitoring
- Support clinical outcomes framework development and risk management
- Champion digital care quality and clinical effectiveness
- Collaborate across teams for alignment and consistency
- Deputise for the Head as needed, representing the function
Requirements:
Essential:
- Registered mental health professional (e.g., HCPC, NMC, Social Work England, BACP, UKCP)
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in mental health
- Experience designing and delivering clinical education/training
- Knowledge of curriculum design, assessment, and governance
- Experience with digital mental health services and LMS systems
- Experience with peer-led learning and outcome data utilization
- Passion for inclusive, trauma-informed learning and clinical outcomes
- Proven ability in co-production with lived experience
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in education or related fields
- Experience with accreditation processes and quality assurance
- Knowledge of NHS standards and health education frameworks
