KOOSA Kids, a fully Ofsted registered provider of before, after school and holiday club childcare, invites applications for a part‑time Playwork Childcare Supervisor at our new club in Southfield Primary School.
Location: Southfield Primary School, Chiswick, London (W4 1BD)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm (term‑time only)
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for day‑to‑day management of the After School Club at Southfield Primary School.
- Print daily registers and manage the sign‑in/sign‑out process, communicating effectively with school staff and parents.
- Learn the KOOSA Kids programme of activity and deliver activities to children each afternoon, directing colleagues as appropriate.
- Maintain awareness of and sensitivity for children with additional needs (physical, behavioural, dietary).
- Purchase healthy snacks for the club.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids internal policies, including safeguarding, and report concerns to the Safeguarding Officer.
- Ensure the club operates in accordance with Ofsted and KOOSA Kids policies at all times.
- Perform daily risk assessments and complete all relevant operational paperwork.
- Ensure all activity areas are clean and tidy at the end of each day; carry out cleaning duties as necessary.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience in a childcare, early years or playwork setting.
- Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience working in a Primary School, Pre‑School, or Nursery setting (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator, Nursery Manager).
- Reliability and passion for childcare.
- Ability to relate to and engage children aged 4‑11 years.
