The role involves actively and enthusiastically assisting the After School Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the After School Club. You will follow the Manager’s direction to deliver the scheduled programme of activities while maintaining a safe, secure environment that encourages the children to explore, grow and have FUN!
Key Responsibilities:- Actively assist the After School Club Manager with running the club safely and efficiently.
- Help set up, organise and deliver a range of activities, encouraging children to participate.
- Assist in preparation, serving and tidying of snack time.
- Be aware of and sensitive to children with additional needs (physical, behavioural, dietary).
- Build strong relationships with all children to maximise their fun at the club.
- Develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids internal policies, including safeguarding.
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day.
- Passion or interest in childcare, early years or playwork settings.
- Fun, energetic nature.
- Reliability and effective communication with colleagues and children.
- Ability to relate to and bond with children aged 4‑11 years.
- Opportunities to gain qualifications and further growth & development will be available for suitable candidates.
- Full training and induction will be provided.
This role is suited for someone with experience in a Primary School (Role: Teacher Assistant), Pre‑School or Nursery (Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant), or someone looking to move into the childcare industry.
