Role Overview
KOOSA Kids is recruiting an After School Club Childcare Playwork Assistant to join our team at our after‑school club based at The Tolworth School, KT6, starting in September 2026. The role is part‑time, term‑time only, working Monday to Thursday from 3pm to 6pm.
As an Assistant, you will actively and enthusiastically assist the After School Club Manager with the safe and organised running of the club, support the delivery of the scheduled programme of activities, and provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the After School Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the club at Tolworth School.
- Help set up, organise and deliver a range of daily activities and proactively encourage children to participate.
- Assist in the preparation, serving and tidying of snack time.
- Be aware of and maintain sensitivity for children with additional needs (physical, behavioural, dietary).
- Develop strong relationships with all children to ensure they have as much fun as possible.
- Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards, KOOSA Kids internal policies and procedures, including safeguarding.
- Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day.

- Passion or interest in working within a childcare, early years or playwork setting.
- Fun and energetic nature.
- Reliability and effective communication with colleagues and children.
- Ability to relate and engage with children aged 4–11 years.
